An Internship is a program for the new graduate nurse who participates in training that will foster learning in a specialty area of nursing.
An Externship is an experiential learning opportunity, similar to an internship, designed to give college students short practical experiences in their field of study.
A Fellowship is a program for the experienced registered nurse who desires to enter a specialty field in which he or she has no current experience.
