About Ashima Malik, MD

Dr. Ashima Malk is a physician board certified in rheumatology. She joined Inova Medical Group with more than 10 years of clinical experience. She has a special interest in management of autoimmune diseases such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, myositis, scleroderma, vasculitis and CTD-ILD (autoimmune lung disease). She enjoys working with primary care physicians and other specialists to help manage complicated patients with systemic illness.

Dr. Malik believes that early treatment can help retain maximum function and improve quality of life, and stresses diet, exercise and lifestyle modifications to help control inflammation. Her goal is to treat every patient like family while providing excellent care using the latest treatment options.

Dr. Malik currently resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and two children. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her young children, travel and explore world cuisines.
