PT, OT and Speech Pathology Clinicals
Inova Health System offers numerous clinical opportunities for undergraduate students in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Pathology. If interested, please have the university fieldwork coordinators contact the Inova sites directly.
Current opportunities are available at the following Inova facilities:
Inova Physical Therapy Centers (located throughout
Northern Virginia)
PT/PTA clinicals are available at 12 outpatient sites. All outpatient sites
have APTA credentialed clinical instructors. Eleven sites treat
orthopedic patients exclusively, one treats neurologically impaired
patients, and one treats both ortho and neuro patients (Woodbridge).

Inova Fairfax Hospital
PT, OT, COTA, and SLP clinicals are available. Opportunities include
medical/ surgical unit, oncology, orthopedics, neurology, trauma,
cardiac, joint replacements, critical care unit, and pediatrics
(for students with prior pediatric experience).

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital
PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP, Therapeutic Recreation, Neuropsychology,
and Exercise Physiology clinicals available. Opportunities include inpatient
acute rehab, outpatient and day treatment neuro-rehab, acute and outpatient
cardiac rehab, and inpatient joint replacements.

Inova Loudoun Hospital
PT, PTA, OT, COTA, and SLP clinicals are available. Opportunities
exist in acute care, skilled nursing facility, and outpatient facilities.
Special opportunities include aquatics (Leesburg), pediatrics
(all sites), and training in video swallowing analysis.
