Inova Physician Connection
Introduction and Enrollment Information
The Inova Physician Connection (IPC) is a Web-based communications
service extended to all Inova-credentialed physicians. Features include:
- Inova-related information and contact information
- Physician orientation manuals
- On-call and meeting schedules
- Department and facility policies
- Pharmacy formularies
- Inova news and online newsletters
- Library book and journal listings
- Announcements about upcoming CMEs
- Micromedex drug-knowledge databases
- Physician/Inova Managed Care Network
Future additions will include online full-text journals.
Security
Confidentiality has been built into the IPC from the ground up.
Security for the IPC conforms to the governmental guidelines set
by HCFA, and will be adjusted accordingly as new guidelines are
established. Current security protocols include:
- Password-protected site
- Password renewal every 90 days
- 128-bit SSL encryption for all transactions
- Monthly review of security procedures and system access
To obtain a log-in to the IPC, please contact the physician support line at 703-645-2700. After filling out a System Access Request Form (SARF) and Confidentiality Form, you will be given a user name and password to log on to the system.
