2008 Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Schedule
ACLS Provider (2-days) and ACLS Renewal (1-day) courses are offered through Inova HealthSource. These programs present a standardized approach toward cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency cardiac care, based on American Heart Association guidelines. These courses incorporate didactic sessions, interactive scenarios with instruction, and evaluation. Continuing education credits are offered. Course prerequisites: proficiency required in CPR according to the 2005 guidelines (newest guidelines), identifying cardiac rhythms, and pharmacology. Classes are held at Telestar Court.
To Register call Inova HealthSource at 703-750-8800. There is a fee for this course; food is provided. If this course is an Inova work requirement, please obtain a general ledger (GL) number from your PCD before registering. A map, course agenda, Handbook of Emergency Cardiovascular Care, and ACLS book (with pretest) will be included in your registration packet.
