The Inova Brock Family Antenatal Testing Center (ATC), opened in 1994, is an integral part of Inova Alexandria Hospital Women's Services, and is dedicated to assisting obstetricians and nurse-midwives in caring for pregnancies at risk for maternal, fetal or obstetric complications.

Designed as a consultative service, the ATC also is used to co-manage specific medical or obstetric problems, as needed and requested for both outpatients and inpatients. Testing and care treatments at the ATC are provided by subspecialist trained maternal-fetal medicine physicians also known as perinatologists, high-risk perinatal nurses, specialty sonographers and genetic counselors.

Our MFM specialists work to co-manage most conditions with the patient’s obstetrician. In some complex cases, our MFM specialists will take over care through delivery.
