The ratings use evidence-based evaluation that reflects a hospital’s standard of care based on quality measurements such as safety, timeliness and effectiveness of care.
Inova is the only hospital system in the Washington, DC region with 5-star rated hospitals from CMS and is the highest ranked system in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Inova Fair Oaks Hospital received an “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for Spring 2024, marking straight "A's" since 2012. This designation recognizes our efforts in protecting patients from harm and meeting the highest safety standards in the United States.
