About Amar S. Kapur, DO
Dr. Amar Kapur is a primary care physician board certified in family medicine at Inova.
Prior to joining Inova, he was an Assistant Professor of Medicine in Georgetown University’s family medicine residency program and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Creighton University Health Sciences Campus in Phoenix.
Dr. Kapur enjoys helping a variety of patients across his specialty. He works primarily as an outpatient physician and has been engaged with hospice services and end-of-life care since his residency training. He completed his training at Madigan Army Medical Center and served on active duty in the U.S. Army for seven years. He has practiced medicine in Washington state, Alaska, Hawai’i and Arizona and now practices in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. His areas of interest include preventive medicine, academic medicine, sports medicine, diabetes and heart disease.
In his spare time, he enjoys baking, cooking, reading and spending time with his family.
