Holiday Hours

With the exception of Inova hospitals, Inova Emergency Care and Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care, all Inova outpatient offices will be closed for the New Year's Day holiday – Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Some Inova care sites have additional closures for the holidays, which will be noted on the relevant location pages.

How to access patient education

You may access videos and written materials from any smartphone, tablet or computer with internet access. Use the following steps to access patient education:

MyChart

If you don't have a MyChart account, create an account

Log in to your MyChart account 

In MyChart, the Patient Education button is accessible under Resources, which can be found using the main Menu navigation.

Start accessing patient education. We suggest starting with videos in the "My Content" section, which have been selected specifically for you.

Inova mobile app

You can get the Inova mobile app in the App Store or Google play:

Once logged in to the app, navigate to the "Inova Patient Resources" section and click on "Patient Education via MyChart."

Knowing more about your care and conditions may help you improve your health. The short, easy-to-watch, 2-3 minute videos make it easy to learn more than ever before. The videos are designed to help you remember what you learn. You can watch them as many times as you want and share them with friends or family who might be involved in your care. There is also written material to accompany the videos.

Recommended videos or written materials are personalized to you and your health conditions. They are a great place to begin when getting started with patient education. Over time, your Inova providers will add additional recommended videos or content, so you will have additional opportunities to watch videos and read written materials about a variety of health topics in the future.

Patient education is a free benefit to any Inova patient. While you do need to subscribe for this service, you need to have an active MyChart account to access it. You may watch any videos or read written material that interest you and re-watch content as many times as you’d like.

When new recommended content is assigned to you by Inova, you will receive a notification to access the content.

We take great care to ensure your health information is private and secure. Access to information is controlled through secure activation codes, personal usernames, and passwords.
