Arturo Avila-Silva, PT, DPT, PTA, has been providing physical therapy care since 2007. He earned his Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University. He also has a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Languages from George Mason University, as well as three Associate's Degrees from Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC), including Applied Science, General Studies, and Social Sciences with Honors.
Arturo is an adjunct professor for the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program at NVCC and currently teaches for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Shenandoah University. In addition to working as a clinician, Arturo works as a content tutor for the PTA program and as a Laboratory & Research Specialist for health sciences at NVCC. He is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and enjoys serving as an APTA credentialed clinical instructor and as a mentor for the clinic.
Arturo is fluent in Spanish and serves as a certified medical interpreter. He continues to take continuing education courses with a focus on manual therapy. He is passionate about volunteering in the community and organizes fundraising events and educational workshops. Arturo strongly believes in maximizing the health and well-being of each individual he provides care to.
