Behnaz Struthers, PT, DPT, graduated with her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from George Mason University in 2000 and then went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at Marymount University in 2005. She has always had a passion to work for Inova–even before graduation she admired the innovative and forward thinking Inova demonstrated. Behnaz started working for Inova in 2005 at the Springfield location.
In 2009, Behnaz was promoted to the Senior PT position with IPTC in recognition of her dedication and commitment she exhibited towards her patients and colleagues. In 2015, Behnaz assumed the role of Rehabilitation Clinical Coordinator at the Dulles South and Tysons locations and is now the Regional Director of our Ashburn and Dulles South locations, as of January 2016.
Behnaz is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) serving as the Northern District Treasurer for the past four years. Behnaz is an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor and member of the IPTC Rewards and Recognition Team. A native of Iran, Behnaz is bilingual and speaks Farsi. She resides in South Riding, Virginia, with her husband and daughter. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and participating in local community outreach programs. Behnaz is extremely committed to community volunteering and bringing awareness to the profession of physical therapy. She is dedicated to the patients she services as she strives to provide an excellent patient experience.
