About Bharath D. Nath, MD
Dr. Bharath Nath is a specialty care physician board certified in pediatric surgery and surgery. Dr. Nath has been providing surgical care for infants and children at Inova Fairfax Hospital since 2018.
A Massachusetts native, Dr. Nath completed college at the University of Chicago prior to returning to Massachusetts where he completed MD and PhD degrees at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester. While attending the University of Massachusetts, he held national leadership roles in medical education. His doctoral research on liver disease was supported through an NIH F30 fellowship. Dr. Nath subsequently completed training in general surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Harvard Medical School. He then went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric surgery at Boston Children's Hospital.
Dr. Nath practices the full range of pediatric general and thoracic surgery, including complex neonatal conditions, minimally invasive abdominal and thoracoscopic procedures, pediatric surgical oncology, pediatric vascular malformations, and thoracic disorders.
Dr. Nath resides with his wife, their three children and the family’s Irish setter-doodle. Outside the office, he enjoys exploring restaurants, exploring arts and culture in the DC area, biking on local trails, swimming, and struggling on the piano.
