Holiday Hours

With the exception of Inova hospitals, Inova Emergency Care and Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care, all Inova outpatient offices will be closed for the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays – Wednesday, Dec. 25 and Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Some Inova care sites have additional closures for the holidays, which will be noted on the relevant location pages.

About Edmond L. Paquette, MD

Dr. Edmond Paquette is a specialty care physician board certified in urology at Inova Health System. He joined Inova in 2017. Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Paquette has practiced at Dominion Urology in Fairfax, VA, since 2007.

Dr. Paquette graduated from the University of Rhode Island in South Kingstown, majoring in zoology and graduating with honors, then obtained his medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine in Providence, RI. He completed a surgical internship at Madigan Army Medical Center in Fort Lewis, WA, followed by two years of service as a general medical officer with the United States Army in Germany and Bosnia. Upon his return, Dr. Paquette completed his residency in urology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where he also spent one year as a research fellow studying the epidemiology and treatment of prostate cancer.

Following residency, Dr. Paquette was Chief of Urology and Interim Chief of Surgery at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC. While in the military, Dr. Paquette served with the 10th Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dr. Paquette was honorably discharged after 13 years of service as a Lt. Colonel, having received the Meritorious Service Medal twice, the NATO Medal, the Overseas Ribbon and the War on Terrorism Medal.

Dr. Paquette has authored nearly two dozen peer-reviewed scholarly articles. His primary interests are in the treatment of benign prostate hypertrophy, kidney stones, reconstructive urology, prosthetics, male incontinence, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy reversal and prostate cancer. Dr. Paquette is currently an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and is the co-clerkship director for the University of Virginia Medical School’s urology rotation on the Inova campus. Dr. Paquette is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Outside the office, Dr. Paquette enjoys coaching his five children in basketball and soccer.
