About Jennifer J. Lund, DO

Dr. Jennifer Lund became Inova’s Medical Director of Occupational Health Services in early 2023 after serving as the program’s Associate Medical Director the year prior. In this role, Dr. Lund works closely with local governments, corporations, businesses and healthcare facilities to develop and advise on occupational health programs that meet their unique needs and maintain compliance with regulatory agencies. Additionally, she provides oversight to Inova Team Member Health and works closely with both the Occupational Health and Team Member Health Operations Directors. She is actively involved in a multidisciplinary approach to ensure positive outcomes for all programs with which she has the opportunity to collaborate. Dr. Lund is passionate about providing high-quality care that meets the diverse needs of the clients we serve. This includes a holistic approach to employee health, wellness and prevention.

Dr. Lund is board certified in occupational medicine and has been working in the field since 2014 in clinical and administrative roles across military and civilian programs. Her experiences in occupational medicine have taken her around the world to care for naval aviators in the Middle East and first responders in the Washington, DC region. While serving as a U.S. Navy flight surgeon, she was responsible for the health and wellness of aviators and air crew. She ensured they met the stringent physical standards of naval aviation, assessed and minimized exposures and risk and cared for their injuries and illnesses. Dr. Lund also has extensive experience in the public safety sector, having worked as a staff physician and associate medical director at the Police and Fire Clinic in Washington, DC.

Dr. Lund received her medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and her master's in public health from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and her occupational medicine residency training at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
