Holiday Hours

With the exception of Inova hospitals, Inova Emergency Care and Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care, all Inova outpatient offices will be closed for the New Year's Day holiday – Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Some Inova care sites have additional closures for the holidays, which will be noted on the relevant location pages.

About Kelly Long, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Kelly Long has been affiliated with Inova Physical Therapy Centers since 2006 when she moved to Northern Virginia from Albany, New York. She is currently working at the Fairfax/Prosperity location.

Kelly graduated from Russell Sage College/Sage Graduate School in Troy, New York, with a combined BS/MS in 2001 and with her transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Sage Graduate School in 2005. She has been primarily working in the outpatient orthopedic setting since graduating, but has also worked in the home care setting. Kelly also works as a Personal Back Coach through Inova's WellAware Program, supporting employees in their knowledge of anatomy and ways to improve their back health for wellness and function.

Kelly has studied Tai Chi for Arthritis and has been an Arthritis Self-Help Course Instructor through the Arthritis Foundation. She is also an APTA credentialed clinical instructor and has been instructing students for most of her career.

Kelly has been specializing in vestibular therapy since 2007, completing advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation. Kelly has a particular interest in treating patients following cerebral concussions, specializing since 2015, addressing both oculomotor and vestibular dysfunctions. She works closely with the Inova Sports Medicine Comprehensive Concussion Team, providing comprehensive treatment for those patients with post-concussion syndrome.

Kelly currently lives in Chantilly, Virginia, with her husband, 3 children, and 2 rescue dogs. She doesn't have much free time, but when she does, she enjoys volunteering at her children's school, reading, and going for walks.
