About Lama Khatib, MD

Dr. Lama Khatib is a specialty care physician board certified in ophthalmology. She joined Inova in 2025 and has been practicing since 2008.

Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Khatib was an assistant professor at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Khatib works with a wide range of patients and enjoys treating both children and adults. Her clinical areas of interest include pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, oculoplastic and orbital surgery, lacrimal/ tearing disorders, ptosis/ droopy eyelids, eyelid and ocular surface tumors, orbital tumors, vascular malformations/birthmarks, hyperthyroidism (Graves' disease), microphthalmia/ underdeveloped eyes. She has a particular interest in diseases that simultaneously involve both eye misalignment and eyelid disorders (craniosynostosis syndromes, thyroid eye disease, strabismus syndromes).
