Lauren is a Registered Dietitian who joined Life with Cancer in April 2018. She is a native of the Northern Virginia area, and graduated from James Madison University with her bachelor's degree in Dietetics. Lauren completed her dietetic Internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, and has spent the majority of her career supporting the nutrition needs of oncology patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
Lauren holds board certifications in oncology nutrition (CSO), as well as nutrition support (CNSC) and advanced practice (RD-AP). She recently completed her master's degree in public health with a focus on health policy from George Mason University.
