About Messay Balcha, MD

Dr. Messay Balcha is a primary care physician board certified in internal medicine. He joined Inova Medical Group with more than 20 years of clinical experience. He has a special interest in the management of hypertension and diabetes.

Dr. Balcha became interested in internal medicine because it provides the opportunity to positively affect healthcare outcomes while allowing development of a long term relationship with the patient and family. His goal is to help his patients achieve and maintain the highest level of wellness.

A native of Ethiopia, Dr. Balcha currently resides in Arlington, Virginia, with his wife, two children and their family dog. In his spare time, Dr. Balcha likes to spend time with his family and go on bike rides.
