About Michael A. Filak, MD

Dr. Michael Filak is a board-certified physician. He joined Inova Health System in 2020. He is US Navy trained and after seven years in the US Navy, joined Fairfax Family Practice in 1987.

Dr. Filak is a co-founder of the Family Medicine of Clifton/Centreville office and has been an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine for more than 25 years. Dr. Filak enjoys spending time with his wife, four daughters and seven grandchildren. He has been an active volunteer at Centreville High School for more than 25 years, served with the US Public Health Service after Hurricane Katrina and spends two weeks every year volunteering in a rural community in the mountains of Honduras.
