Oluwayemisi (Yemisi) joined Inova Health System in February 2018. She completed her undergraduate degree at Georgia State University and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Yemisi is passionate about making her patients active participants in their care and equipping them with the tools they need to get back to moving through their daily lives safely and efficiently. She believes that the best outcomes for her patients occur when both the therapist and patient are working together towards patient-centered goals.

Currently, Yemisi is enrolled in the Functional Manual Therapy Residency Program through the Institute of Physical Art to advance her clinical and critical thinking skills. She also treats patients with vestibular dysfunctions and completed further education in vestibular rehabilitation through Emory's Vestibular Rehabilitation: A Competency-Based Course.

Originally from Houston, TX, Yemisi currently lives in Woodbridge, VA, with her husband. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, writing and dancing – especially salsa.
