About Ricardo J. Cabello, MD
Dr. Ricardo Cabello is a specialty care physician board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and transplant hepatology. He joined Inova in 2023 and has been practicing since 2014.
Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Cabello was a gastroenterology and hepatology fellow at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Cabello’s clinical areas of interest include cirrhosis, hepatitis b, hepatitis c, primary biliary cholangitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, metabolic associated steatohepatitis, autoimmune hepatitis, hepatocellular carcinoma, Wilson's disease, transplant hepatology. He enjoys caring for all types of patients but is trying to provide better access and education regarding liver disease within the Hispanic population.
Dr. Cabello’s patient care philosophy is to always work in conjunction with the patient. He believes that his role is to provide as much guidance as possible in his recommendations, but in the end, he will always support his patients’ goals during their care. His goal is to treat his patients to the best of his ability while respecting their individual care goals.
Outside the office, Dr. Cabello enjoys playing soccer on the weekend, surfing and spending time with family.
