About Robert R. Hart, MD

Dr. Robert Hart is a specialty care physician board certified in urology at Inova Health System. He joined Inova in 2022 and has been practicing since 1986. Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Hart worked as a urologist in Northern Virginia.

Dr. Hart received his undergraduate degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN. He then earned his medical degree from Indiana University. Both his surgical and urological training were completed at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC, after which he went into private practice. He is board certified in both adult and pediatric urology.

Dr. Hart has particular interest in urologic cancers, benign prostatic hyperplasia, urinary incontinence, kidney stones and urinary tract infections. He has surgical experience in nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy, vaginal sling for urinary incontinence, ureteroscopy, laser lithotripsy and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy in addition to minimally invasive management of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
