Holiday Hours

With the exception of Inova hospitals, Inova Emergency Care and Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care, all Inova outpatient offices will be closed for the New Year's Day holiday – Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Some Inova care sites have additional closures for the holidays, which will be noted on the relevant location pages.

About Shwetha Thukuntla, MD

Dr. Shwetha Thukuntla is a specialty care physician board certified in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Inova Health System. She has a special interest in management of diabetes and pituitary disorders. She enjoys working with adults and the elderly population.

Dr. Thukuntla believes in building long-term relationships and working together to accomplish a desired goal. Her goal is to help her patients feel heard and achieve their goals.

Most recently, Dr. Thukuntla served as an Assistant Professor at University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston for five years. She joined Inova with more than five years of clinical experience.

A native of India, Dr. Thukuntla currently resides in Falls Church with her husband and two kids. In her spare time, she likes to cook and travel.
