About Yan Sun, FNP
Yan Sun is a family nurse practitioner. She joined Inova in 2015 and has been practicing as a nurse since 2004.
Prior to her new role, Yan was a registered nurse at Inova Fairfax Hospital in the Women’s PACU and at Inova Alexandria in the ICU.
Yan’s clinical areas of interest include preventative care, women’s health and chronic disease management. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and her patient care philosophy is to prioritize active listening and transparent communication, as she strives to build a connection with patients where their voices are heard, their concerns are addressed, and their values are respected. Yan’s patient care goal is to ensure that patients are well-informed and empowered by proactively engaging in their healthcare journey.
Outside the office, Yan enjoys traveling, biking and going to the beach with her family in the summer.
