Welcome to the Inova Electrophysiology Fellowship program

The goal of the Inova Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship training program is to address the growing need for physicians with an expertise in management of complex heart rhythm disorders. The training program is structured to foster mastery of all the requisite procedural skills and knowledge required for a career in electrophysiology while simultaneously nurturing enthusiasm for life-long learning, academic investigation, and the importance of a compassionate and caring doctor-patient relationship.

Fellows in our program will:

  • Train under the supervision of experienced board-certified cardiac electrophysiology physicians to learn noninvasive diagnostic assessment, invasive diagnostic assessment, pharmacologic therapy, and invasive electrophysiology therapies including complex ablation therapy and advanced device therapy
  • Practice effective communication and collaboration in patient care
  • Incorporate evidence-based medicine into practice with emphasis on efficient use of resources
  • Participate in research activities at Inova with the opportunity to present this work at national meetings and in manuscript form
