Holiday Hours

With the exception of Inova hospitals, Inova Emergency Care and Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care, all Inova outpatient offices will be closed for the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays – Wednesday, Dec. 25 and Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Some Inova care sites have additional closures for the holidays, which will be noted on the relevant location pages.

About Lama Alsamara, MD

Dr. Alsamara is a primary care physician board certified in internal medicine. She joins Inova Medical Group with over 10 years of clinical experience. She has a special interest in management of diabetes, hypertension and obesity.

Most recently Dr. Alsamara served as an internist at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Her interest in internal medicine became apparent as she cared for patients with multiple medical problems rather than just one condition. Dr. Alsamara's goal is to help patients by offering guidance on a healthy lifestyle in order to prevent diseases and to choose the best treatment option available.

A native of Syria, Dr. Alsamara currently resides in Virginia with her family. In her spare time she likes to exercise, travel and spend time with family and friends.
