Janet Woods has spent 50 years as a pediatric nurse — most of those years were in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
On November 9, her colleagues and hundreds of happy supporters surprised her with a congratulatory gathering and 50 roses to honor her accomplishments.
Woods estimated she has helped care for nearly 50,000 babies during her long career.
