Inova is making it more convenient and timely for you to receive health reminders and updates about your care. Stay informed about appointments, medications, billing, and other important healthcare updates with Inova. All texts you will receive will be from “Inova Health.” 
 
Text START to 86157 to enroll in text updates and reminders today.

Text FAQs

If you have been receiving text updates from Inova Health, you must opt-in again to receive text updates about your care. You will begin receiving text from a new number – 86157.

To sign up, text START to 86157 to opt-in to receive text updates from Inova Health. Message and data rates may apply. Please review terms and conditions in Inova’s MyChart patient portal.

You can update your communication preferences in Inova’s MyChart patient portal by selecting “Communications Preferences” from the main menu. From there, you will be able to subscribe to text messages and select the type of notifications you’d like to receive.

You will receive text updates for proxy accounts if your mobile number is listed in the mobile field in the account settings in MyChart. For a phone number to receive proxy-related text messages, the phone number must text START to 86157 to opt-in and the proxy must select “yes” to receive text updates in the communication preferences.

To opt-out, you can text STOP to 86157 at any time to unsubscribe to all text updates. Please note: If you opt-out, you are also opting out of all Inova text updates, including appointment reminders, billing notifications, and other MyChart notifications. Sign up or log into Inova’s MyChart patient portal to manage your communication preferences and select which notifications you’d like to receive.

You can opt in again by texting START to 86157. You can also subscribe to texts in Inova’s MyChart portal.

You can update your phone number in Inova’s MyChart patient portal (go to Personal Information from the main menu).

Currently, only a US mobile number can opt-in to receive text notifications. If you have a non-US phone number, you will not be able to opt-in to receive text updates or reminders.
