I am honored to lead the exceptional nurses at Inova Loudoun Hospital, whose dedication, resilience, and pursuit of excellence greatly enhance our ability to serve the community. It is a privilege to collaborate with such outstanding professionals.

ILH nurses from ILH Mobile Health teamed up with members of Inova Schar Heart and Vascular, Inova Loudoun Hospital and spent time offering the Loudoun Community free bio metric screenings. EKGs, education materials and packed meal kits were also provided.

Each year the members of the Professional Development Council organize and present the ILH Innovations In Healthcare Conference. Pictured are members of the ILH Professional Development Council conference organizers. Some of this year's topics included ILH's Research and EBP presentations, Coaching and Personal Experience sharing and a panel discussion including members of Trauma Services, Emergency Departments and Critical Care.

In 2023, our very own Jordan T., MSN, RN, TCRN, CEN, ILH Trauma Services Director was presented with the Distinguished Trauma Certified Registered Nurse Award by the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing. Jordan was also presented with a resolution from the Board of Supervisors recognizing her as the National Trauma Nurse of the Year!

March for Babies
Giving

Every year ILH Nurses and fellow team members organize and participate in giving campaigns both at local and national levels. In 2023 our ILH team raised over $2,000 for March for Babies, March of Dimes Organization. In addition, ILH team members were involved in charitable giving campaigns for American Heart Association Heart Walk, American Cancer Association, Angel Tree Salvation Army, and Loudoun Hungry Relief, to name a few.

At Inova, we want all our new nurses to succeed. The Vizient/American Association of Colleges of Nursing Nurse Residency Program™ (NRP) helps new graduate registered nurses to seamlessly transition from school to clinical practice as a professional nurse. Inova offers this gold standard, evidence-based program at all hospitals, in addition to practice-based orientation with an experienced and educated preceptor. In August 2024, our program was accredited as a Practice Transition Program (PTAP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs.

Advancing Patient Care

Making a Difference to Patients

Meet Elizabeth C. (BSN, RN), who has served as a Float Pool Nurse Manager at Inova for over three years. Elizabeth takes great pleasure in watching her team thrive in challenging situations while maintaining a strong enthusiasm for their work. Her journey at Inova includes a role as an administrative director and involvement supporting capacity report-outs for Loudoun. As the leader of the float pool team, she’s proud to help elevate care across specialized departments throughout the hospital.

Mark L. has been an RN Unit Supervisor at Inova for 14 years and is dedicated to providing a caring environment for his patients. Known for his problem-solving skills, Mark describes himself as "steering the ship" during challenging situations. He successfully led the historic tower move of 61/62 North and is an RN4 on the clinical ladder, in addition to being CMSRN certified.

Elizabeth "Amy" P., a Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse at Inova for seven years, is dedicated to making a difference in her patients' lives. Inspired by Maya Angelou’s quote, she strives to heal physically and emotionally. Elizabeth is an active leader in shared governance, precepts future nurses and contributes to the Inova Innovation Conference, showcasing evidence-based practices.

Meet Adriene S., a Clinical Nurse Educator and Mentor at Inova with 14 years of experience. Each day, Adriene effectively combines her passion for science, teaching, advocacy and patient care. She has received numerous accolades including the ICU Nurse of the Year and Nursing Excellence awards.
