Holiday Hours

With the exception of Inova hospitals, Inova Emergency Care and Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care, all Inova outpatient offices will be closed for the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays – Wednesday, Dec. 25 and Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Some Inova care sites have additional closures for the holidays, which will be noted on the relevant location pages. 

The Inova Joan and Russell Hitt Center for Healthy Living offers the community and Inova team members to opportunity to work one-on-one with a personal trainer.

We offer 30 minute or 60 minute in-person and virtual training sessions. 

A personal training session includes:

  • InBody assessments
  • Personalized workouts
  • Nutrition guidance curated by our professional and highly-qualified training staff

Our center is at 8100 Innovation Park Drive on the Inova Center for Personalized Health campus. Enter the campus at the intersection of Gallows Road and Peterson Discovery Drive. Visitors may park on surface lot F (adjacent to building 8100) or surface lot D. Enter through the building's front doors into the glass atrium, then take the elevators down to the lower level.

Meet our trainers

Randi Benavente

Randi Benavente

Randi Benavente is a personal trainer with four-and-a-half years of training experience. She has helped a wide variety of people improve their functional performance and get stronger through both personal and small group training. Her focus is always on meeting people where they are and progressing them in a safe and motivating way. Her favorite thing to say to clients is, “You got this!” Randi is dual certified in both ACE and NASM. She also has specialty certifications in Pain-Free Performance and The BioMechanics Method of Corrective Exercise.

Randi is a lifelong athlete who is always looking for her next challenge. She has completed four marathons and numerous running races. When she turned 40, she competed in a bodybuilding show. When she turned 50, she finished her first triathlons including an Olympic distance triathlon, which consists of a 1-mile swim, a 25-mile bike ride, and a 6-mile run. Her passion is playing soccer, and she plays both indoor and outdoor, depending on the season.

Laura East

Laura East

With several decades in the fields of fitness, health and wellness, Laura East’s journey has been driven by her mission to inspire people to cultivate health-promoting strategies for resilience and sustainable strength. She leverages her expertise as a yoga therapist and personal trainer, which has allowed her to design and lead programs that have empowered Inova team members since 2008. 

Laura’s teaching style is kind, compassionate and joyful. She specializes in behavior change, applying evidence-based techniques for functional strength and stress reduction. She practices healing-centered engagement and trauma-informed care. Laura continues to focus her work in teaching our diverse senior population, cardiac rehabilitation program and physical therapy graduates, menopausal women, persons with disabilities, small groups of cancer thrivers, those living with arthritis, neurodiverse persons, and those who suffer from stress and anxiety.

Jim Economos

Jim Economos

After years in the residential remodeling business, Jim decided to shift his focus to his true passion – health and fitness. An avid runner and triathlete, Jim has competed in 70+ races around the world including all six world marathon majors, the Empire State Building Run-Up, and multiple Ironman events. Jim believes that maintaining one's health and fitness is an essential puzzle piece for longevity, happiness and overall quality of life.

Christopher Naranja

Christopher Naranja

Christopher is a NASM-certified personal trainer with a NASM-CPR/AED certification. He enjoys playing basketball, football, hiking, working out, boxing, salsa dancing and obstacle course races. He is passionate about gaining a deeper understanding of the body, muscles and movements. He started by training his friends, family and himself for fun and later, decided to turn his passion into a career. He has worked in other fitness-related areas, such as interning at a physical therapy clinic, cardiac rehab, strength and conditioning facility and a regular gym. He graduated from George Mason University with a bachelors in kinesiology last spring of 2024. Fun fact: He has a huge weakness for Krispy Kreme donuts.

Melinda Rogers, EP, CPT

Melinda Rogers, EP, CPT

Melinda has traveled the world pursuing her passion for supporting people as they work to achieve their exercise and physical fitness goals. After serving four years in the United States Marine Corps, where she worked as a combat engineer and rifleman’s coach, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from George Mason University. She also helped manage the body composition program at Marine Corps headquarters in Quantico, VA. She has expertise in developing and implementing high-intensity interval training, combat conditioning, strength and conditioning programs.

During her service, Melinda traveled to Japan, the Philippines and Thailand. She enjoyed working with, and learning from, other cultures. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
