For expectant parents, all of our facilities at Inova Women's Hospital on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus offer spacious and beautifully decorated, private labor-delivery recovery rooms designed with your comfort in mind yet fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology in case of unexpected complications.
Our nursing staff is made up of highly skilled clinicians with experience in obstetric care. In-house anesthesiologists and neonatologists/pediatricians are available 24 hours a day.

Our 108-bed, Level IV NICU cares for high-risk infants requiring specialized care and observation.

When you arrive, there is a patient drop-off area in front of the entrance to Inova Women’s Hospital where patients can be dropped off. This entrance is closed at night. Park in the Green Garage across from the entrance to Inova Women’s Hospital and Inova Children’s Hospital. There is a $5 parking fee per trip. Where to enter:
- For scheduled C-section patients: From the Green Garage, take the elevator to level 2 and enter the hospital via the skywalk that connects to the first floor lobby. The registration desk will be in front of you as you enter the hospital.
- For patients told to go directly to Labor & Delivery by their doctor: From the Green Garage, take the elevator to level 2 and enter the hospital via the skywalk that connects to the first floor lobby. Turn right as you enter the hospital and walk to the Labor & Delivery desk on your left.
- For all other patients: From the Green Garage, take the elevator to level 2 and enter the hospital via the skywalk that connects to the first floor lobby. At the end of the skywalk, take the elevators down to the ground floor registration desk.
Our physicians, nurses and staff are experts in complicated pregnancies, including treating women with pre-existing conditions and those carrying multiples. We have various resources and services to assist with complicated pregnancies including:
- Inova Alfred Khoury Antenatal Testing Center offers specialized services and testing for high-risk pregnancies
- Prenatal Genetic Counseling provides a wide range of genetic tests and procedures assessing the health of your baby
- Inova Children's Hospital Fetal Care Program treats pregnant women at risk of carrying a fetus with a heart defect or other abnormalities
- Inova Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists for women with complex illness or specialized fetal care needs.
