Concierge Medicine FAQs

Concierge medicine, also known as subscription medicine or retainer medicine, is an approach to medical practice in which patients receive exclusive access, enhanced services or amenities from physicians in a concierge practice for a nominal annual membership fee.

Through the Inova 360° Concierge Medicine membership, member patients have access to private physicians in our program and receive enhanced services such as same-day or next-day appointments for nonurgent care, periodic preventive care examinations, and comprehensive health and wellness advice.

Inova provides enhanced access to a board-certified physician at a time convenient to you. Our physicians limit their practices to a maximum of 400 patients, so they can give you their undivided attention, superior preventive medical care and detailed wellness education. Other features include:

An extensive, periodic medical review, submitted to insurance as a routine, annual physical, but is a 2+ hour examination that includes preventive care, education and wellness planning, as well as tests not found in most wellness exams
Same- or next-day appointments for injury and illness treatment
24/7 access to an on-call, concierge medicine physician via telephone for nonurgent matters
Referral and navigation assistance for specialty needs
Enhanced access to Inova’s world-class healthcare, which includes physicians, research and follow-up

Inova 360° Concierge Medicine enrolls individuals 13 years of age or older for an annual out-of-pocket membership fee. We treat every person in the concierge medicine program individually and give them full access to all services and amenities associated with the program.

Our yearly membership is $2,400 per individual for the first family member, with a discounted rate of $2,200 applied to other adult family members who wish to join the concierge practice. Children of current members ages 13–22 may join for an annual fee of $1,200.
