All patients receiving anesthesia must have an assessment interview by phone, video, or an in-person appointment. This evaluation assesses medical factors that may affect the timing of your procedure and identifies underlying conditions that may require evaluation or management.
Our services
- Pre-anesthesia assessment with an advanced practice provider or pre-procedural telephone nurse
- Pre-procedural and day of procedure instruction and education, including fasting and medication instructions
- Evaluation of test results with notification to referring practice for any issues requiring follow-up
- Review for completeness of required Inova documentation, external testing results, medical history and physical examination, consent forms and advance directives
