During your initial consultation with our radiation oncologists, we will review your medical records along with your physician to determine what radiation therapy is the best course of treatment for your specific diagnosis. We are committed to answering all of your questions and will guide you through your treatment process. Your initial consultation can take between 60-90 minutes.
Your care goes beyond your radiation treatment plan. We provide you with access to dedicated financial navigators who will help you work with your insurance company on coverage and get any necessary approvals. We offer holistic services through our renowned Life with Cancer® program and Inova Child Life specialists to ensure you and your family are comfortable and have the emotional support you need.
Life with Cancer® includes cancer education, wellness programs and integrative therapies, as well as support groups, all free of charge throughout your cancer treatment. Our Inova Child Life specialists focus on easing anxiety and stress for our youngest patients, and provide support, therapeutic play and comfort for your family throughout your child’s hospital stay or outpatient procedure.
