Deadline and Requirements
Applicants for the PGY-1 Residency program must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Graduate or candidate for graduation of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited degree program.
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Registered for the ASHP “Match” Program.
Interested candidates should submit the following information through PhORCAS by January 2, 2025:
- Letter of intent describing personal and professional goals as they relate to PGY1 training
- Curriculum Vitae
- Transcript from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Three letters of reference – Reference writers should use the standard reference template in PhORCAS. At least one clinical rotation writer is required, but two are preferred. If more than three letters are submitted, the remaining letter(s) will not be evaluated.
Selected applicants will be invited to complete an interview with our program in February.
Candidates for our residency program are selected in conjunction with the ASHP Resident Matching Program (the "Match"). Our NMS code is 124713.
