Inova Fairfax Medical Campus has been training pharmacy residents since 1989. The program became ASHP accredited in 1990. Our residents have gone on to pursue successful careers in many areas of pharmacy practice. We are in the 35th year of our PGY1 Program.
We have five PGY1 residency positions available, and one PGY1/PGY2 Medication-Use Safety and Policy residency position available.
Inova Fairfax is located in Falls Church, VA, within the Washington, DC metropolitan area near a major highway (the capital beltway). The hospital is fairly accessible from all directions, including a nearby Metro station with shuttle service to the hospital campus.
Only the PGY1/PGY2 Medication-Use Safety and Policy residency program participates in PPS interviews. The PGY1 residency program director and pharmacy residents will attend the resident showcase, but will not participate in PPS.
The application process will continue via PhORCAS and qualified applicants selected for an interview will be invited to complete an interview in February. If circumstances necessitate virtual interviews, we will inform applicants in mid-January.
